Mexico has so many amazing venues for destination weddings, dreamy gardens, beautiful Haciendas, historic buildings from the 16th century, hidden Conventos and Monasteries, you name it....in this post we present some of our favorite spots if you are thinking of a destination wedding in Mexico.
Wedding at Estación Indianilla in México DF
Industrial and Modern Style, ideal for big weddings & events, if you have less than 80 guests I would not recommend this venue because of its large size. Also it is close to Colonias Roma, Condesa, Juarez, Polanco and Centro (the hip and cool neighborhoods in Mexico, Polanco is a bit more posh)
In this picture you can see how Casa Delirio decorated this tables with greenery for Pedro and Ximena's wedding.
The only downside I would dare to say about this venue are the bathrooms but you can easily setup extra rental bathrooms like the ones you see in concerts. Mexico has it all in terms of suppliers for weddings!
Proyecto Publico Primm
This place is magic all around! A restored old building in Mexico City ideal for a whimsical wedding! Its one of our favourites and we truly recommend it.
Off the beaten path - Wedding at Centro Cultural Tudor
This place is a hidden beauty, it does not have as much amenities as some of the other options but if you are into hip, unique and original style then it is a good option. In the picture you can see how Casa Delirio arranged the tables with terrariums and florals. I only recommend this venue for small weddings, bathrooms are a bit flakey and not suited for handicap people.
Wedding at Hacienda San Carlos Borromeo
About 1.5 hours away from Mexico City, San Carlos Borromeo is a beautiful Casco de Hacienda, enchanting and with all the commodities for your event, they include packages and many options for decoration.
Wedding at Ex Convento San Hipólito
One of the most beautiful Historic Buildings in Mexico city, with lots of space and magic!
Tip: Call in advance, sometimes this venue is booked for the whole year in advance.
Wedding at Museo Casa de la Bola
One of our favourite venues in Mexico city is Museo Casa de la Bola, it looks like a scene taken out of the Secret Garden or Great Expectations!
Wedding at Casa Rodavento in Valle de Bravo
Built in the early 20th century, La Casa Rodavento is now a luxury boutique hotel in the colonial town of Valle de Bravo, one of the most scenic and vibrant destinations in all of Mexico.
This unique hotel boutique is located in the heart of Valle de Bravo. It has no more than 7 beautiful suites and the most delicious restaurant Nuestro. It is ideal for small, intimate, fancy ceremonies.
Just an hour and a half away from busy Mexico city, Valle de Bravo is considered a * Pueblo Mágico (Magical town). www.lacasarodavento.com
Wedding at Casa Lamm
Small and intimate events take place in Casa Lamm, its an Art Gallery that can be transformed into a cosy and intimate venue for a ceremony and a cocktail.
Wedding at downtown Hotel, Mexico City
The Downtown Hotel in Mexico City has it all! A beautiful terrace, a pool, view to historic buildings like the Torre Latinoamericana and rooms to fit your guests.
